Seeing was good. 82 N from startLambda 115 to endLambda -126 82 S from startLambda -161 to endLambda -128 ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon checkout: -------------------- The afternoon checkout went well; there were no problems. The spectro focus was not checked because of superNova science and the missing carmera. Night: -------------------- Supernova imaging again. This time through clouds :-( 01:42Z Run 5759, Strip 82 N, startLambda 115 (end of ramp at 117.5). Skippy and Focus were good from the start. Clouds gradually thickened, and by the time the Moon rose, we weren't seeing much at all. You might get the first 220 frames to pass through photo (up to lambda 147). After that, I think photo will have trouble until approx. frame 670 (lambda 214). From frame 670 to the end, you may have success again. Seeing was good whenever we could see through the clouds. 09:35Z Ended drift at RA 59 deg, lambda -126 deg, frame 807. ---------- 09:44Z Run 5760, Strip 82 S, startLambda -161. Skippy and focus were in spec from the beginning. The nu error was on the high side (-7.9 asec), but still in spec. The clouds had mostly cleared out, but a few small ones drifted through until frame 80 when it became clear. Seeing remained good. All of this run should be good to run through photo. 11:52Z Ended the drift at lambda -128 deg, RA 57 deg, frame 233. 12:55Z endNight rejoiced. 13:02Z Called Rick.
