No observations were taken. We attempted to take imager cals but ran into some problems with the linear power supply. Please see log for more detail. PT's cryo tiger compresser is making repetitive loud vibrating noises. It is still working, but this might want to be looked at. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- Afternoon checkout went smoothly. No problems to report. Spectro focus has been adjusted to night temperature T=+9.5C with Cartridge 1 mounted. Heavy clouds and thunderstorms (at 00:10Z) Night: ------- Did not open due to heavy rain and thunderstorms. 06:46Z - Attempted to start imager calibrations, but ran into problems. We turned on the QTH lamp supply to 20V and then turned on the linear supply. We verified that the "output protection", "variable", "tracking", and "output" LED lights were on. When we switched the +6V & +18V voltage viewing ranges, the volatge display remained at 0.1V while the current read 0.0A. Just in case the voltage/currents needed some tweeking to match the values on the tape next to the power supply, we turned the "output" switch off and read off the new values: 5A/0.1V (+6V) and 1A/0.1V (+18V). These current values are extremely high and turning the knob to correct for this had no effect.
