There were clouds all night and strong radar returns and nearby lightning for the first half of the night. Imager bias and flats. Ran checkBias 6906 35, checkFlat 6905 35, biasGen 6906, biasCheck 6906. Results are posted in the Imaging Details section. Test IOP v4_38_0 worked fine and the fix for the mechanicals in the spectro headers seems to be working fine. See Problems section for proof that the mechanicals are in the headers of some test exposures we took. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: --------- Found no problems during the afternoon checkout. The spectro focus was checked but not adjusted. It's set for about 15 C. 00:45Z - Began ventilation. Doors and louvers opened, fans on. Night: ----- 04:18Z - Stopped ventilation. Doors and louvers closed, fans off. Nearby rain is visible and nearby lightning is becoming more frequent. 05:55Z - The lightning is moving away. We mounted the imager in hopes of getting imager bias and flats. 06:26Z - Started on-telescope bias; Run 6904. Watcher complained about an inconsistent instrument id switch (see Problems section under Misc. Watcher Errors). We ended the drift by the 25th frame and set the instrument to "IMAGER." We took another bias later. We did not use this run in any of the bias checks. 06:41Z - Started the flat sequence; Run 6905. 07:06Z - Started another on-telescope bias. We only got ~25 frames for Run 6904, so we're trying again in order to get more like 35-40 frames. We visually compared the Bias Vectors to those from MJD 54328 and then compared the Flat Vectors with those from MJD 54275. The shapes of the plots were all very similar, although the level was sometimes off by ~10 or so. Elena could not get the "compress *" to work on phoenix when comressing the data, so instead she used gzip to compress the files. 08:25Z - Began ventilation.
