APACHE POINT OBSERVATORY SDSS 2.5M OBSERVING LOG Saturday September 20, 2008 (MJD 54730) ---=== OBSERVING TEAM ===--- Kaike Pan (observer) Dmitry Bizyaev (observer) Scott Fleming (MARVELS) ---=== OBSERVING PLAN ===--- Science! ---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- Time in Don's schedile, even if given in UT for this month, is any way different by 1 hour from what we really have. Thus, for tonight, we have moonrise at ~ 4:36Z; the schedule sais it is at 3:36. UT - Civil also has to be 6 hours, not 7. High humidity in the evening. Then decent conditions, clear sky, mostly good seeing. We finished SEGUE plate 3137, MARVELS plate 3018, collected good signal with 3131 (SEGUE) and collected signal with Marvels commissioning plates 3032, 3030, 3033, and 3031. Imger dewar has low weight but it is enough to get one fill, which is scheduled on daytime. New red in-cartridge gang connector covers are inconvenient, see "problems" section. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- ntp_check ok iccSoundOff ok imager bias ok calib. lamps ok spectro bias ok Filename 02% 05% 10% 50% 90% 95% 98% ------------------- ------ ------ ------ ------ ------ ------ ------ sdR-b1-00054716.fit -5.7 -4.6 -3.0 2.0 7.5 8.6 10.8 sdR-b2-00054716.fit -7.8 -6.4 -4.1 1.1 7.0 8.7 10.7 sdR-r1-00054716.fit -7.4 -5.4 -4.4 1.6 6.6 8.6 9.7 sdR-r2-00054716.fit -7.9 -6.0 -4.8 0.5 6.6 7.8 9.9 Afternoon we had problem with watcher servers starting.
