MARVELS observed cart 1, plate 3077 through a lot of clouds. After 08:00Z, the skies cleared up enough for us to gather signal on segue plates 3149 and 3150 (cartridges 4 and 2). We did not set up the DIMM tonight because of the high volume of clouds. Seeing 1.3" Guider stopped updating suddenly. 'gcam doreads' in the tcc updated the guider image. We 'endStare -aborted' the exposure and then the guider began to work again on its own. Odd. 03:10Z - 30 min exposure. Efficiency 5-10%. Declared BAD. 03:43Z - Postcals. 03:55Z - Mounted cart 5, baotest plate 2640. Centered on an fk5, but could not find guide stars because of how thick the clouds are (even in photometric conditions, the guide stars on this plate were very faint). We closed the FF pedals and waited. 05:50Z - Mounted cart 1, MARVELS plate 3077B. Had to edit the plugMapM file. Could not find guide stars, nor an fk5 with a spiralPattern. We found guide stars with field A, we stickied, and then went back to field B. 06:34Z - Started MARVELS exposure. Seeing 1.5" 07:33Z - Mounted cart 4, segue plate 3149. Used fk5 star. Clouds beginning to clear. 07:44Z - Precals. 07:52Z - 30 min exposure. Efficiency 70%. Variable seeing ~1.6" 08:27Z - 30 min exposure. 09:00Z - Mid-cals. 09:07Z - 30 min exposure.
