Closed for 5 hours because of wind. Observed cart 3 plate 3319 and cart 5 plate 3308. Obtained some signal. We had the same problem with guider as several days ago (see MJD 54910 log) We tried to do focus loop several times during the night but it never finished. After some measurements, it stoped with a error message: expected guider frame never arrive. We had to manually adjust the focus. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- Cart 1, plate 3359 Marvels FF test until 00:45Z Cart 3, plate 3319 mounted telescope is checked and all systems are in good working condition. 01:09 postCalibs collimate Spectro set for 9C and did not adjust. Night: ------ Some clouds but they were going away. 01:20Z ventilation 01:30Z enclosure is off Cart 3, plate 3319, segue No previous observations. 01:59 gotoField Used FK5 We tried focusLoop twice but it stopped as "expected new guider image did not arrive". The third try was good. Seeing was ~3":-(( 02:26Z preCalibs 02:33Z science 1800 - bad, r1<2.0 seeing ~3.5", eff ~ 20%, wind ~30-35 mph. 3.5m telescope confirmed ~3.0" seeing. focusLoop - three times tried, it stopped with the same errors. 03:21Z science 1800 - bad, r1,b1<2.0 03:55Z postCalibs Wind was up to ~38 mph. We were watching. 04:10Z science 1800 Wind was up to 40 mph, we were waiting for the exposure to finish to close. 05:00Z enclosure is on. We still keep ventilation. Outside dust counters did not work, we could not find manual counters, so we think it was ok to ventilate based on visual estimation. Wind is down 34 mph and stay there for 10-15 min. 10:00Z enclosure is off. Cart 5, plate 3308, segue. Previous s/n=91. Used FK5 to find guider stars. FocusLoop stopped twice again Seeing was ~3,5" (confirmed with 3.5m), sop could not define FWHM for guider stars. Eff was ~10-20%. I checked "other weather problem" = bad seeing. Guider was working very slowly, it had 5 sec guider exposure and 16-20 sec reduction time before image appeared in GUI. Is sdsshost2 ok? Manual adjustment show foc 100 and seeing ~3", and eff ~30%. 10:59Z preCalibs 11:09Z science 1800 - bad endNight is finished.
