Gourmet Night Menu: ------------------- Pot stickers. Pork and vegetable oriental stir fried dish. Brown rice with peas. Baked potatoes with garlic and cheese. Persian chicken with walnuts. Chicken with olive and lemon. Polish dumplings. Macaroni and meat sauce. Asparagus. Cheese and french bread. Peach ice cream. Deseret Toffee. Peach chocolate pie. Aged Sulawesi coffee. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Swing shift notes ----------------- Spectrographs' focus not checked as the imager was mounted. Spectrograph biases examined and found to be normal. Night ----- High cirrus at sunset so we begin with spectroscopy. Plate 1238 (cartridge 3): Used an FK5 star to acquire guide stars due to bright (twilight) conditions. The clouds made it difficult but this plate was finished in 4 exposures (5100 secs total). Plate 1309 (cartridge 5): Needed an FK5 to obtain guide stars. Clouds were again a problem. We obtained 3 usable exposures (3900 secs total) before this plate expired but were not able to finish it. A fourth exposure (1500 secs) did not have (S/N)^2 > 2 for either of the r cameras and so it was declared bad. Plate 1325 (cartridge 8): Guide stars on the gotoField. Clouds kept the (S/N)^2 < 2 for one or both of the r cameras in the first two exposures (both were declared bad) but the third exposure (1800 secs total) was good. The plate expired before we could finish it. Plate 1055 (cartridge 7): Guide stars on the gotoField.
