I sent the telescope to 85 and 87 deg, changed the scale and looked at the D destination position. The results are encouraging. Unless we are working at an extreme scale, focus or both, we should not encounter the limit at normal working altitudes. The on-telescope bias still shows the noise we've been seeing in the dog house biases so unlatching the t-bars does not seem to solve the problem. When stripeAxisRates was run for strip 1100 N it gave nonsensical values for the rotator rates (-19000 to +30). This is a known problem and a PR already exists. Run 4827: On-telescope bias. The noise seen in the dog house biases is still present. Run 4828: 1100 N, starting mu = 244.5. Skippy, seeing, focus all good by frame 18 but we're in twilight and the sky is still too bright. Everything good by start of ramp at frame 39, mu = 249.5 (6 minutes before twilight officially ends). Science begins at mu = 252. Science ends at frame 592, mu = 332. Ramp ends at frame 609, mu = 335. This run is good from frame 39 on. There were occasional small excursions of the cloud camera standard deviation above 6. Some of these were due to insects. A few were due to slight structure. None were above 8. We got messages about no gang transfer and forced a teamster at 02:28Z. We couldn't get stripeAxisRates or stripeAxisPositions to work for stripe 1260. See the problems section for details. We hope we're not going to get too close to the zenith on this stripe. We'll keep an eye on it. Run 4829: 1260 S, starting mu = 25.5. Everything good from the beginning. Seeing went from good to acceptable around frame 329, mu = 74. Just as we were about to end the drift, the telescope stopped tracking. See the Problems section for details. This ruined the last 2 frames of the drift. We are certain that the interlocks panel showed all green and the mcp menu showed nothing wrong. We are not sure what tccmon showed.
