The first part of night we run from generator until power crew fixed the problem. While wind was slow down we tried to open and begin observations but snow blowing force us to close again. No observations. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- Afternoon check went smoothly. Spectrograph focus adjusted. Now set for 0 to -1 C (using the spectro body temperatures). 22:00Z ThermoKing started to get the interior of the sun-baked enclosure a little closer to ambient, especially since blowing snow is preventing ventilation. With out the anemometer it is hard to be certain, but the way the trees are dancing around and the snow is being lifted tens of feet off the ground gusts must be well over 30 MPH. Rain sensor disabled due to blowing snow. 00:10Z Utility power failed. Running on generator. Night: ------ We did not open on sunset due to blowing snow. At 00:10Z the utility power is running on generator. Electric power crew was working on cite and utility power is on at 07:52.
