APACHE POINT OBSERVATORY SDSS 2.5M OBSERVING LOG Thursday December 20, 2007 (MJD 54455) ---=== OBSERVING TEAM ===--- Elena Malanushenko (day) Shannon Watters (observer) Dmitry Bizyaev (observer) ---=== OBSERVING PLAN ===--- Science! ---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- We got some signal with cartridges 2 pl.2850 5 2878 7 2639 3 1876 6 1877 8 2854 No one got formal signal more than 2 in any spectrograph in a single exposure. Because of it, we declared #5 and #3 as BAD since they are "chunk". Who can clear criteria for chunk plates in the Moon time? Does it makes sense to observe them with the Moon at all? Thick clouds in the second part of the night made the observations inefficient and slow. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: --------- All equipment are checked and work properly. Spectro collimation set for 1C. Manipulator interlock is off. id3 display does not work. Ventilation is started at 23:20Z. Cart 2 is mounted.
