It was still to light out to find stars, so we waited. 02:22Z - We cleared the offsets and found the fk5. The seeing was terrible (2.5-3") and the scale was jumping all over the place, probably because our altitude was about 32 degrees. We decided to wait until the altitude the and efficiency got a little higher before starting the first exposure. Three focus loops were taken in the meantime. 02:54Z - Precals. 02:57Z - Twilight ends. 03:02Z - 30 min exposure. Efficiency was averaging 30% and seeing was ~3" according to the guider and the DIMM. We decided to stay guiding and wait until these values get slightly better. 05:26Z - Conditions got slightly better. Another set of precals were taken. 05:34Z - 30 min exposure.
