Used MCP v6_4_0. We rebooted zaphod again due to hung weather pages. Fritz was aware of the cause and corrected it. We installed the new guider so that Paul can run some tests during the day. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon --------- All systems checked. The 45-degree altitude fiducial was not read on the slew up to zenith, but registered during the slew back to 30 degrees. Mounted cart. 2 (MARVELS pre-selection) so that we could run `collimate' since we haven't checked the spectro temperature settings the last couple days. Night ----- Lots of ominous clouds and nearby radar returns prevented opening. Wind speeds picked up past critical limits and we had brief intermittent periods of some precipitation. 04:45Z - The weather pages were hung again. Rebooted zaphod. We installed the new guide camera on the telescope. We left some tools near the winch at the SW corner of the enclosure. Paul will be working there during the day. The old guider is safely on the wooden table in the enclosure and should not be disturbed until we arrive tomorrow.
