The last half hour was clouded out. Night: ------ 01:30Z Enclosure off, topped-off spectro secondary dewars, checked top/bottom balance, did a test slew, checked fiducial crossings for each axis, and started the DIMM. 02:00Z cart 5, plate 3373. FK5 was used for the field mainly due to brightness when acquiring it. The field was off only 6". Adjusted collimation by +3000 for SP1 and +2000 for SP2. 02:47Z started the first science exposure. 03:03Z Twilight end. Four 30 min exposures were obtained on the plate. The plate was Done with signals obtained om mjd 54934. SOGTF. at about 07:35Z, wind blew from east, and seeing suddenly went bad, worse than 4". Also temperature changed by 4 C. We had chance to finish the plate, but the change in seeing blew it away. We obtained 4 30-min exposures on the plate, and accumulated a total S/N^2 of 143. 08:10Z cart 6, plate 3290. FK5 used. Seeing varied between 2.0 to 3.0". Clouds came in. We obtained three 30 min exposures on the plate.
