Seeing was good during the whole night. We observed: one SEGUE plate, 3367 one MARVELS pre-selection plate: 3500 (field433) four MARVELS survey plates: 3414A (field1348), 3414B (field1068), 3489A (field1349), 3489B (Kepler3.TRES2) Guiding fiber #9 of cartridge 3 (plate 3367)was out of focus when others were in focus, please check it, thanks. Possible broken fiber: Cart 8, B point, fiber pair 71-72. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- All systems were checked and working properly. Spectro Focus checked and adjusted sp1 by +1400, sp2 by +3000. The focus was set for 16 C. 02:00 Marvels ArTh lamp on. Night: ----- 02:40Z cart 3, plate 3367 (SEGUE). FK5 used to acquire the field because it still very bright. The offsets were small. 03:22 pre-cal. 03:32Z started science exposures. Guiding fiber #9 was out focus when others were in focus. Is this fiber not fully plugged in? During the 2nd exposure, we had thick clouds kicked in the field. Efficiency went down to 10% at 04:35Z. Four ex[posures were obtained, but the third one was bad due to clouds. Three good exposures make a total of S/N^2, 97.3 05:32Z First set of MARVELS cals: T05:32:42.530.fits, T05:34:50.120.fits, T05:39:25.750.fits 05:40Z cart 6, 3414A (MARVELS), field1348. FK5 used to acquire the field. 05:50Z: 50 min science exposure. Partly cloudy, seeing was about 1.3". T05:50:41.170.fits, PMT 34. All spectra are seen. 06:42Z cals T06:42:59.250.fits, T06:45:05.720.fits, T06:49:42.350.fits 06:44Z cart 6, 3414B (MAREVLS), Field1068. FK5 used to acquire the field. 07:00Z 50 min science exposure. It was partly cloudy with good seeing 1.1". T07:00:22.980.fits, PMT: 39.5 , all spectra are seen. 07:52Z cals T07:52:17.540.fits, T07:54:23.000.fits, T07:58:58.160.fits 07:55Z cart 8, plate 3489A (MAREVLS), field1439. FK5 used. 08:04Z started 50 min science. The sky was mostly clear. Seeing was about 1.1". T08:04:29.720.fits, PMT: 44.3. No broken fiber found. 08:56Z cals T08:56:21.930.fits, T08:58:27.320.fits, T09:03:02.760.fits 08:57Z cart 8, plate 3489B, Kepler3.TRES2. SOGTF. 09:05Z started 50 min science exposure. It was mostly clear with a ~1.3" seeing. T09:05:02.490.fits, PMT: 27.4. Spectra pair of 71, 72 are barely seen. 09:59Z cals T09:59:17.320.fits, T10:01:22.680.fits, T10:05:58.260.fits 10:00Z cart 5, plate 3500 (Marvels-pre) field433.
