Science! ---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- We could not observe last night because rain, clouds and hight humidity after that. We made several BOSS calibration tests requested by Kyle: dithered flats in foccus, dithered flats out of foccus; hartman with different postios of telescope and rotator, and hartmann with different cartridges. We replaced one FF lamp as it was burnt out. Both of us had problem to copy and past texts from mac editors to logTool. Restarted guider with stageManager as it was died at some point. Dithered falts did not work with both sp1 and sp2 sumaltaniusly. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- 23:38Z All telescope systems are checked and work properly. It was rain outside, clouds, thunder. lightening. We could not observe or even change cartridge, or to work on telescope because of nearby lightening. We got request from Kyle to make several BOSS spectro tests if possible. The main idea of tests is to check the stability of calibration depends on focus, telescop pointing, position of rotator. Night ======= Test #1. Series of dithered flats with 10 sec exposure. I remember tat we tested "sop dithered Flat" stui program to run with both spectrographs (mjd 55092). Last night it did not work with error Error: "Unmatched command: ditheredDlat expTime=10 (exception: Invalid cmd: ditheredflats exptime="10"" We used ditheredFlats with each spectrograph separatly: 01:19Z - 02:13Z - dithered flats for sp1> ; spectra 102582 - 102604 02:57Z - 03:50Z - dithered flats for sp2> ; spectra 102605 - 102625 02:45Z - forceFill for SpectroDewars to be raedy to move telescope inside enclosure. Test #2. Dithered flats out of focus. Kyle recommended to move pistons to ~3K abs step value. We moved pistons to max position out of focus to home direction 04:02Z - moved sp1> on -20000 steps and sp2> on -30000 steps. current position is 4113, 3588, 4882 for sp1> and 3285, 3280, 3285 for sp2> In some cases we got NaN value of motor position in data headers for ff= 102656 (sp2), 102670(sp2), 102677(sp2).
