Still, the time lost was worthy of filing a ticket. See Ticket #391. We didn't have any problems with the two BOSS cartridges at the end of the night; the guider behaved normally for them. We checked the FFS status within the MCP, MCP cartoon, TPM, and STUI and all of them agreed when we cycled the FFS. We checked the FFS status in the MCP, the MCP telescope cartoon, the TPM, and within STUI when we cycled the FFS and all of them agreed and were consistent with the physical status of the FFS. Dmitry manually input some offsets and then found stars in fibers 4 and 10. The guider took a long time (after these stars were manually brought in) to center up and bring in the stars in fibers 2, 6, and 8. 03:40Z - MARVELS science. 04:34Z - MARVELS cals. Cart. 9, 3076B, WASP-1 ********************** 04:34Z - gotoField. We had one guide star on gotoField. Then we helped the guider along and brought that one in more, which resulted in another star showing up. After that, nothing else came in. We were also within the zenith avoidance range, though. We tried to acquire guide stars while the altitude was in the zenith avoidance range, but we ultimately had to wait until the altitude came back to ~85 degrees after transit. 05:28Z - MARVELS science. 06:24Z - MARVELS cals. Fiber associated with spectra 075,076 appears broken or dropped. This corresponds to Green Clear Magenta. Cart. 5, 3085A, 51PEG ********************* 06:33Z - gotoField. No guide stars found. Dmitry manually found two stars, but when he started the guider, the stars were lost. This happened a few times and later he even found three stars (two of which were at the edge) and only one star was kept after a few guider iterations.
