The seeing is good the most of night. We observed imaging stripes: Stripe 68 S 143-(-172) including ramp, DONE run #8155 lambda 143-170, #8157 160-175, #8158 171-(-172) Stripe 68 N #run 8156 with lambda 143-178 including ramp. DONE We made adjustment of boss spectro motor positions and collimation rings based on DS suggestions. Observed cart 12 plate 3673. 3 exposures have been done this night with perfect weather condition. Togethe with last night exposures this plate is DONE. Observed cart 14 plate 3658, one exposure and some bias and dark tests. We had a problem with boss-icc as it filed when we ran boss moveColl. We need to use new version of boss to run it properly. Boss v2_0_5 We need to keep one free place for cartridge in cart bay as we are going to observe with imager next nights. And keep all boss available cartridges there. We removed cart 8 from the bay to inside of room. Alt fiducial corrections were too large several times during the night. Dimm did not start as it could not save log file. We rebooted it. Spectr dewar needs to be replaced after the next fill. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- No problems noted at telescope during checkout. 23:05Z Ventilation started, doors closed for spectro collimation. David called and asked us to move the camera focus rings to near the CCW limit. Moved r2, b2 rings CCW by 90 degrees. b2 collimator move: boss moveColl spec=sp2 a=-21058 b=-21058 c=-21058 A move was applied. Then David sent an email saying that he wanted the collimators at: sp1 sp2 a= 3200 3300 b= 3200 3300 c= 3200 3300 The focus rings should be moved to match these actuator positions. However, at this point, it was too late to make any changes other than to set the collimators to the requested positions. The imager was on, so taking Hartmanns and setting the focus rings will have to wait until imaging is over. Boss returned to business but stopped again when we tried to move motors. Craig was online and he suggested us to use new version of boss v2_0_5. We moved sp1 by -960 and sp2 by only -2000 as recommended value was to close to zero limit. Seeing 1.3" We started calibration as sop doCalibs nflat=1 flatTime=30, but instead this command typed sop doCalibs nflat=30 flatTime=30. boss_clearExposure cleared exposure but confused the sop. When we started new exposure with flat calibration, sop & boss stopped the exposure on the stage of ccd flashing.
