It would not move with either the inside or outside control buttons. We tried closing the outside door to keep sunlight from hitting the light curtain mirrors, which didn't help. We called Dan Long. With his help, we found a mis-alignment in the light curtain at the vertical bank of sensors in the northwest corner of the bay. We corrected the problem by slightly moving the bank of sensors from north to south; however, the vertical metal bar that holds the bank of sensors needs to be tightened. The engCrew will do that tomorrow. 00:45Z Spectro focus was checked and adjusted. 01:00Z Opened the doors; turned on fans. 01:10Z Mounted the first cart of the night. Night: ------ 02:00Z Sunset 02:01Z Enclosure off, topped-off spectro secondary dewars, checked top/bottom balance, did a test slew, checked fiducial crossings for each axis, and started the DIMM. 02:24Z Cart 10, plate 3986, BOSS, GSOGTF. Seeing was about 1.7" as reported by the guider. During exposures 115221 and 115222, we tracked close to zenith and had large error vectors on the guider. We think the abort happened because we were at 87.3 degrees alt. We knew we had an abort because stui beeped, and stui's tcc status window indicated an aborted rot axis. The tccMon also showed a rot axis abort. However, the old mcpMenu and stui's interlock display did not show any problems with the rot axis.
