Since that time stiffer springs were added to the engcam mount to take out play. This moved the camera slightly. We tested the location of the boresight by measuring the location of the star at 4 rotator angles. The boresight was found to be at 529, 531 rather than 512,512 that we created the instrument block for originally. We modified the inst block file 0ENGCAM with the new boresight location on the CCD (and probe) for the pointing model. Directory SYS$SYSDEVICE:[TCC.LOCAL.DAT.INST] I_CA1_0ENGCAM.DAT;3 Once French modifies the engcam mount a new grid and circle set of star position measurements will be need to update the instrument blocks. Currently a number of instrument block files have been defined for the engcam ENGCAM_0DEG on axis ENGCAM_1DEG 1 deg off axis ENGCAM_1P3DEG 1.3 deg off axis Suggestions for a better naming convention appreciated! ------------------------------ Tonight was patly cloudy and then mostly cloudy & radar return. We got pointing model with good result, Sky RMS= 2.71, but there is a some doubt, i.e. at the start was non-zero CalAzOff & CalAltOff. We can not check it for the weather condition. During afternoon preparation we got a some times Alt breaking, so Howard turned off Alt1 interlock. Howard cleaning Alt and Az axis before pointing model.
