Clear but windy in the very morning. New limits for the stage movement for the e-camera are measured (0 - 535000). LN2 quick connector at SP2 is leaking and losing pressure, need to be checked in the morning! A&B controller at sp1 camera is disconnected, this is what Craig found. Any BOSS exposure cannot be completed because of it. Should be checked by French, or Dan, or Wendell. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- Telescope and software checked. All fiducials, including rotator, can be read. We cannot take BOSS bias exposures. Mechanics on sp1 does not talk properly (?), or boss actor does not work normally. Mechanical info for sp1 is not shown in STUI. Sp1 mech box was power cycled (same problem happened yesterday, and Craig asked to do it first if it would happen tonight). After that we attempted to reload the sp1mech controller, unsuccessfully. Called Craig to Japan. Craig: looks like the camera micro was reloaded. Craig gets on-line and checking. It took some time. Night: ------ 03:10Z sp2 dewar started leaking. In the evening during check-out it was not. The leaking drained the whole LN2 dewar, then the system complained. We replaced the big dewar, and force filled the secondary dewars. Note that the pressure at sp2 dewar is still ~ 8 psi, so we decided to leave it disconnected and do a couple of force fillings during the night. 04:30Z Engineering camera is mounted, with Paul Harding on-line we test the limits of the e-camera stage in the new configuration. The new range is 0 - 535000 steps. The far end limit is caused by touching of the far cooling hose assembly (golden part) of the stage mounting (a black part). 06:00Z The e-camera is dismounted and left in the limiting position (at 535000). News from Craig: The #1 motor A&B controller is disconnected, or something. The errors are treated as fatal by the ICC, and I haven't the heart/time to work around that right now. 09:50Z sky is getting clear, humidity dropped down, but the wind is still "yellow". 10:20Z sp2 dewar is force filled. 10:30Z the wind gusts are just got to the normal limit, but it is too late to get one normal Marvels exposure.
