It needs to be re-taped, and the locking ring is very stiff. The air hose for cleaning the MARVELS gang connector is a big tangled mess. We had a rot oscillation after opening; see log. The pressure relief ball-type valve on the 108-liter dewar of sp2 is stuck closed. We still have the low S/N values for R2. Per Paul's request, we did five BOSS darks. In spite of the heroic efforts two days ago, the moths are back in the lower enclosure. 22:50Z - ventilation fans on. Doors still closed. 23:00Z - Cartridge 13 mounted. Per Craig's request, a LN2 fill was forced so they can work in twilight. 23:31Z - Cartridge 13 mounted. BOSS bias, dark, flat, arc, Hartmann taken. BOSS collimation adjusted to be in spec. 23:45Z - Doors opened. Night: ----- 00:16Z Sunset 00:17Z Enclosure off, topped-off spectro secondary dewars, checked top/bottom balance, did a test slew, and checked fiducial crossings for each axis. 00:40Z We had a rot oscillation after doing an axis init while the scope was at 121,06,00. This happened after opening. We estimated that the to-and-from movement was about 1.5 degrees.
