We finished cartridge 3, 2938 and acquired good signal on cartridges 5 and 6. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- All systems checked and working properly. Spectro focus set for ~-5C. 00:00Z - Began ventilation. Doors and louvers opened, fans and blowers on. 00:08Z - During the initial altitude slew to the zenith during the fiducials check, the only fiducial that was at 75.5 degrees. During the slew from zenith back to 30 degrees, the only fiducials read were at 75.5 degrees and 60.37 degrees. 00:12Z - Mounted cartridge 9. Night: ------ 00:45Z - Sunset. 00:50Z - Enclosure off. Cartridge 9, 2865, seguefaint170 ******************************** 01:20Z - gotoField. Used an fk5 to acquire the field. 01:34Z - Pre-Calibs. 01:44Z - 1800-second exposure. Aborted due to red wsigma value in arc (r1). 01:47Z - 'mechPiston 2000' for both sp1 and sp2 since they hadn't equilibrated yet. The flat and arc values for sp2 were fine (sp2 was within the 5C tolerance that the collimation was set for), but sp1 was just at the edge of the 5C tolerance and as a result had a red wsigma value in the arc in r1. So collimation was set for -3C. 01:49Z - Pre-Calibs. 01:56Z - 1800-second exposure. r1 had (S/N)^2 = 1.4, so we can't count this exposure towards the total (S/N)^2. At the end of the exposure, the altitude was 31 degrees. Cartridge 3, 2938, segue181 *************************** 02:39Z - gotoField. Used an fk5 to acquire the field. 02:48Z - Pre-Calibs. 02:55Z - 1200-second exposure. As of 03:00Z, Audrey and I have tried 4 separate times between us since opening to get the DIMM doing its thing, but neither of us were able to get Polaris centered. During the most recent attempt I had Polaris in the EZ-finder, as well as in the scope and still the 'Take Images' command was only showing noise. We tried starting from scratch, and still the same thing. An 'endStare' was issued, so this exposure ended up ~1200 seconds. 10:15Z - 1800-second exposure. 10:53Z - 1800-second exposure. Ended at about 20 minutes because we started seeing guide stars again.
