We are starting Shakeup at 00:50Z , at 07:30Z we start scientific part of night, i.e. wind and dust are down. Up to 12:35 we observed two plates, one of them was DONE. Standard shakeup tasks completed. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- Spectrograph focus checked and no change made. The best focus temp is around 1-2 C. As usual, details in problem section. 23:10 Fans on, louvers open. east door open and west door craked. Night: -------- Shakeup by Feb.2006 plans. We working with iop v4_15_0 and sdssProcedure v2_10 Strong wind and from 02:30Z high dust. Inside enclosure: Spectro: Next FF & ARC is dithered flats: 00:53Z FLAT-00037125 - FLAT-00037139 01:51Z ARC-00037140 - ARC-00037141 Imager: mounted and proceeding at position 121,90 Monthly imager bias and FF: the results - in "problems" section 03:02Z bias 03:27Z calibration -------- IOP PR 6868: ----------- While in the enclosure with a stop button in, we did a scanStripe and a goDrift (flavor science) to see if we could trigger the eqToStripe bug. There were no error messages, and the drift started normally. We did not close the PR, however, since this should probably be tested on-sky with the imager. Scientific part: ---------------- The wind was strong and seening horrible BAD , we can worked with spectro only. Cart.6 plate 2351, Chunk 07:40Z - we are on the field. FK5 star was need. Seening >3 arc.sec. 07:52Z - start PreCal and first exposure. Second and all next exposures declared as BAD: clear sky, strong east wind and seening approx. 3-5 arc.sec. There is discrepancies between S/N to BLUE and RED parts of spectra. After inspection spectra and sky for a some frames we are sure, that S/N of RED part is equal or more than of blue part. Once the spectro pipeline has reduced this plate, PLEASE compare S/N to that of SoS. If the plate is really done, based on the pipeline please send an email to the pluggers to have it unplugged. Integrated exposure time is 11400 sec, S/N (b_1, b_2) >= 25.2 Cart.5 plate 1989, Chunk. 11:45Z - on the field, FK5 star was need. 11:55Z - star first exposure at 900 sec, Seening is 1.6 arcsec. we are made 2 exposure and DONE that plate.
