Most of the night was lost to high humidity and clouds (also rain, high winds and clouds during the earlier part of the night). 2X15-minute exposures on Cartridge 5, plate 2560, seguefaint149. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: --------- The telescope has been checked and prepared for observations and all systems are functioning properly. The collimation is set for 2C. One minor problem to report: The telescope was moved to 60 degrees in altitude and the balance was checked. Thereafter, the telescope could only be moved from the MCP GUI and would not respond to commands issued in the TCC command window. A hard reboot of the MCP fixed the problem. Did not begin ventilation because of high humidity and some rain. Night: ----- The dewpoint difference was never greater than 4C up to and including opening, but was consistently between 3C and 4C for the 2.5 hours prior to opening. We performed touch tests to check for moisture and decided to open when surfaces felt dry and conditions seemed relatively stable. 07:52Z - Fans on. Enclosure off. Clouds moved in almost immediately. 09:07Z - Cartridge 5, plate 2560, seguefaint149. Needed an FK5 to acquire the field. Pre-calib. 2X15-minute exposures. Post-calib. Seeing: ~1.5" 10:00Z - Enclosure on. Fans off.
