We tried imaging SN stripe 82N from lambda 122 to -172, but gave up around midnight since we couldnt see hardly any stars. Most of the data is probably not useful. Note: Just as a heads up, we noticed that the ln2 nitrogen pressure for the imager is low. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- All systems checked and working properly. As of 22:41Z there are 490G available on /data and 293G available on /files. Spectro focus set for ~4C. Did not start ventilating because of thick clouds and high dust. Night: ------ 23:50Z - Mounted imager and made the enclosure dark for imager bias. 00:15Z - Imager bias, run #7166, frames 8-38. 02:10Z - Opened enclosure. Clouds thinned out slightly. 02:35Z - scanStripe 82S, start_lambda 121.5 02:37Z - Began drift. Run #7167, lambda 121.6, frame 8. Skippy happy at frame 9, but there is a nu error of 9.3". Focus happy at frame 9. 02:38Z - Ramp started at lambda 122, frame 9. 02:46Z - Science started at lambda 124, frame 23. Seeing 1.0" but still very cloudy. 07:01Z - Ended drift, lambda -172, frame 450. We were hardly able to see any stars the last two hours because of thick clouds. The data from around 04:00-05:00Z (lambda 145 frame 164 to lambda 160 frame 264) might be useful, but everything else is probably not useful. We left the telescope tracking in hopes that the clouds will break soon. 09:53Z - Mounted cartridge 4, plate 1784 chunk93. Clouds persisted. 11:47Z - Clouds broke. Used fk5 star to find field. 11:54Z - Precals. Error given back: goStare not successful, trying again. After ten minutes of trying to figure out what was wrong, we discovered that we forgot to grab in the instruments. Oops.
