We don't know why it was down, but wonder if it was related to the power outage last night. The sp1 B temperature is reading 200 C. We guess this is a bogus number, but wanted to check. We left emails for Connie, after trying to call her. The MARVEls CCD air temp complained of bring just out of spec: It was only .001C out of tolerance. It did stop throwing error messages after about an hour. The 45 degree alt fiducial still doesn't read. The rest of checkout was uneventful. Seeing < 1.0 ". Took one 50-minute exposure. No missing fibers 04:48Z - Cartridge 4, plate 3517B - MARVELS T05:24:19.070.fits -------------------------------------------------------------- Guide stars on go to field, but when the stop button was pulled after plugging in the gang connector and an axis init was done, the stars were gone after going to the field. There was some shaking in az when the axes were cleared, and we had to hunt for the guide stars again. Next time, we will do an "axis stop" before using the stop button during gang connector changes. Once the field was found again, we had two instances where we issued guider axes on, and the guider didn't guide. Issuing "guider on", followed by "guider axes on" shouldn't stop the guider, but it seems like it did. The third time, guiding converged.
