================================================================================

This file describes how to create a basic user's manual using a set of
templates. It is the least mature of the document templates. Parts of
it, such as a table of input and output values, should be generated
automatically by processing annoted namelists or resource files with an
auto-documentation tool. (We still need the tool.)

A user's manual includes the parts shown in the table below. Brackets []
indicate that a part is optional. In the filenames, "comp" refers to the
component or library that the whole user's manual or user's manual chapter
describes.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Part Template File Description
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
document	<comp>_usrdoc.tex Document shell with software release number
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To create a new user's guide, fill in the template file. In
<comp>_usrdoc.tex, be sure to comment out the \input of any files you aren't
including and specify the \input filenames of files that you are including.

Build a dvi file from LaTeX documents:

	do_latex <comp> usr

Produce an html version of the documentation:

	do_l2h <comp> usr

The html files are placed in a directory called <comp>_usrdoc.

The dvipdf tool can be used to produce a pdf:

	dvipdf <comp>_usrdoc.dvi
