Electron Ion Collider User Group Meeting 2016

Accommodation

There are several hotels near to the UC Berkeley Campus. Please use hotels with room blocks first as they will release unused rooms and increase prices as the event draws near. Other hotels are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

We ask all participants of the meeting to make their own hotel reservation directly with the hotel of their choice.

The Hotel Durant is the most conveniently located to the event. The short walking distance to Le Conte Hall and its proximity to public transit make it an ideal choice for those looking to avoid renting a car. A walking map to the venue is located here. The Doubletree Berkeley Marina is further away from the event, but ideal if you are getting a rental car. There is ample parking at the hotel and a parking garage a decent walk from Le Conte Hall. Directions between each are available here.

At this time, DOE participants are encouraged to book at the Berkeley Lab Guest House if they cannot receive travel approval above the government rate.

It is located on site at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. It is a new facility that provides deluxe accommodations exclusively to the LBNL and UC Berkeley communities. We have 30 rooms blocked with 15 slated to be released on December 5th, and the remaining unused rooms released on December 23rd. To book a room online please follow the instructions available here.

Parking or shuttle passes are provided as part of the booking process. A Berkeley Lab shuttle will drop you near the meeting venue on campus.
